The Evil Squirrel Twin Award - For providing exceptional content of a humorous or off-beat nature.

PURPOSE:

Laughter is a truly wonderful thing. There are sites that deserve recognition for their entertainment value -- sites that make us laugh or provide a unique entertainment experience. Sites that keep the fun alive are eligible to receive the Evil Squirrel Twin Award.

 

CRITERIA/SCORING:

Only sites that benefit society or the individual by providing humor or off-beat content are eligible. 

We do not accept:

  • Sites that contains pornography, hate, political propaganda, or violence.

  • Sites that promote SPAM, UCE or bulk mail services, Warez or password sites.

  • Sites that are involved with pyramid schemes or any activity that is illegal.

  • We reserve the right to accept or reject a site for any reason.

We evaluate and award points to sites based on the following:

CONTENT (50 Points)

Content is the essence of any quality Website and that is why the majority of points  (50%) are given for the value and importance of the site's content. We compare a site's content to other similar sites of top quality, as well as judging it on its own merits.

DESIGN (10 points) Does the design of your site look different from all the other sites out there? Is there good use of graphics, pictures, layout, etc.? Does your site stand out from the rest? Is the design clean, or is it scattered all over the place?
TECHNOLOGY (10 Points) Do you make appropritae and good use of new technology on your site? Example: CGIs, RealAudio, RealVideo, Dynamic Pages (ASP, CFM, etc.), DHTML, Javascript, Java, Active X, etc.
ORIGINALITY ( 10 Points) Is your site original, or is it a copy of someone else's? Do you use new techniques, or are you doing things that a million people have already done? Are you using your own writing, or are you borrowing it?
OVERALL IMPRESSION (20 Points) Our overall impression of your site. When we take all the aspects of your site and put them together, this is what we get.
